I’m Taylor Hardina, a Licensed Massage & Bodywork Therapist, Registered Nurse, and the owner of Phoenix Rising Massage & Bodywork, LLC.
My path into massage therapy began after personally experiencing relief from chronic hip pain through bodywork in 2022. After years working in geriatric nursing, I often felt limited by a healthcare system focused on temporary fixes rather than long-term wellness. Massage therapy opened the door to a more holistic and supportive approach to healing—one that aligned deeply with both my personal experience and professional values.
In November 2024, I completed over 1,000 hours of training at the Bio-Chi Institute of Massage Therapy in Sioux City, where I studied anatomy, physiology, ethics, business, and a wide range of therapeutic modalities including Swedish massage, deep tissue, posture integration, reflexology, Muscular Tendinal Re-education (MTR)®, hydrotherapy, and lymphatic drainage.
I continue to expand my education through ongoing training and am currently studying herbal medicine as part of my holistic approach to wellness. I consider myself a lifelong learner and believe the best care comes from remaining both curious and grounded.
At the heart of my practice is the belief that healing happens best when the body feels safe, supported, and heard. Qigong forms the foundation of my work, shaping my breath, posture, and awareness during each session. I also draw from the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the philosophy of Hakomi, which recognizes the deep connection between the body, mind, emotions, and lived experiences.
My philosophy is simple: your body already holds an incredible capacity to heal. My role is not to “fix” you, but to facilitate, encourage, and support that process through intentional touch, breath, presence, and individualized care. I believe massage doesn’t need to rely on force to be effective. Instead, I strive to create a space where your body can release tension, restore balance, and move toward lasting well-being.
